Spirit Rift Nuker thoughts
Hey guys I dont like eles nor do I play them ever at most a FC nuker but thats very rare so here's what I'm looking to try.
[skill]Caretaker's Charge[/skill] (kinda like my Mindblast)
[skill]Arcane Echo[/skill]
[skill]Spirit Rift[/skill]
[skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill]
[skill]Channeled Strike[/skill] or [skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill]
[skill]Mighty Was Vorizun[/skill]
[skill]Earthbind[/skill] (to support MS)
[skill]Death Pact Signet[/skill]
12+1+3 Channeling
13+1 Communing
Thoughts? I tried a mini version of it on master of damage for a total of 1.5k dmg after 30 seconds. I also realize this is a close copy of the Caretakers Vorizon build for AB etc.

You need decent energy management to spam Rift.

Why earthbind again? to support MS? What MS? You'd do better taking out the investment in communing and sticking it back into channelling. Replace Earthbind with [skill=text]Destruction[/skill] or [skill=text]Bloodsong[/skill]. Swap Caretaker's with [skill=text]Attuned Was Songkai[/skill], or [skill=text]Offering Of Spirit[/skill]. Then swap MWV for something like [skill=text]Essence Strike[/skill], or [skill=text]Spirit Burn[/skill]/[skill=text]Channeled Strike[/skill] if you're using OoS.
Then you'd be able to pump out spirit rifts as much as you'd like, and they'd be more powerful.
I reckon this would be your optimum build:
[card]Attuned Was Songkai[/card][card]Arcane Echo[/card][card]Spirit Rift[/card][card]Essence Strike[/card][card]Ancestors' Rage[/card][card]Splinter Weapon[/card][card]Bloodsong[/card][card]Death Pact Signet[/card]

Am I missing something here? You have no knockdown in your build, let alone any skill with the initials "MS"...I am assuming therefore you're referring to Meteor Shower on an Ele hero?
*shrugs*...only thing I can think of.
I agree you need better energy management to spam Spirit Rift. Consider Offering of Spirit and Essence Strike. Is Earthbind REALLY required or could it be replaced for...Empowerment? Pain? Life? Bloodsong?

Humm... dehumm
[skill]ancestors' rage[/skill]
[skill]splinter weapon[/skill]
[skill]arcane echo[/skill]
[skill]spirit rift[/skill]
[skill]attuned was songkai[/skill]
[skill]ghostly haste[/skill]
[skill]bloodsong[/skill] or [skill]recovery[/skill] or Vampirism
[skill]death pact signet[/skill]
12+1+1 Channeling
at least 9+1 Spawning Power - hits breakpoints for 5e -> 3e and 10e -> 6e on AwS.
Rest in Restoration if using Recovery.
... for spamming Rifts.
Or you could go for one of them standard hybrid Resto/Channelers with Offering of Spirit, Splinter & Rage and just throw Rift on there too.

What I meant by earthbind is for the eles in the party, if they are not there then I will drop earthbind but this will give their MS a much longer knockdown which may in fact help. I will try the AWS option thanks guys. I have tried WoQ before but it seems to drain energy over time or then anything with constant spamming of it.

Ok I FINALLY got a Slavers group to do Rand/Thom with great success actually. Here is what I used.
[skill]Arcane Echo[/skill]
[skill]Spirit Rift[/skill]
[skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill]
[skill]Gaze of Fury[/skill]
[skill]Offering of Spirit[/skill]
[skill]Earthbind[/skill]
[skill]Destruction[/skill]
[skill]Death Pact Signet[/skill]
I chose Destruction due to I did not want it to draw any arggo with say Bloodsong, also I did take Earthbind for the SH eles MS. I never ran out of energy nor even came close and I'm sure I will just tweak it for each area. I tried AWS at Master of Damage and actually had a heck of a time with energy due to me loosing my +15 from Staff of the Forgotten, after putting enchants and spirits up I would be at about 15e.
But thru it all the Obi War loved the build the most, he said he will start looking more for channeling nukers after this which made me smile a bit.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'm not really impressed with Spirit Rift any more. It's just tooo long to wait for the damage, especially in uncontrolled situations where people are bouncing all around and running like a pen full of headless chickens. I definitely preferred it's old 1s cast time. Five seconds is a long time.
Instead, I've recently been having fun with:
[skill]Arcane Echo[/skill][skill]Echo[/skill][skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill][skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill][skill]Anguished Was Lingwah[/skill][skill]Essence Strike[/skill][skill]Air of Superiority[/skill][skill]Death Pact Signet[/skill]
Sure, I don't see many numbers lighting up the screen, but I have a good time with it. I'd much rather have three Ancestors' Rages going off on a helpful Warrior or Minion than have to wait 7 seconds just for an explosion that *might* be targetting something. Anguished Was Lingwah is there because I like pre-casting my spirit and simply dropping it where I need, rather than waste 3 seconds at the start of a fight summoning a spirit. Essence Strike and Air of Superiority are for energy management. If I'm particularly having trouble, I can just Arcane Echo the Essence Strike and leave the Echo'd Ancestors' Rage alone.
That's purely my choice, if I want to go the whole AoE route. I find that melee folks will track their targets pretty well, so I can just stick on them and blow stuff up as I get 'em. Play around, have some fun.

I think he just chains the Spirit Rifts among the aggro by the Obsidian Flesh tank...
But three ARs = one happy tank.

You are correct, this build is for the tank and spank groups. If was was doing something that did not have arggo control I would just use AR, typically I fire off two SF's then hit a AR on Obi which totals for a lot of damage most of the defenders dont live thru it.
